Rick is war veteran who served our country as a member of the US Navy Submarine Service and attended college at both Northwestern and the University of Denver where he majored in Business Administration. Post college, Rick enjoyed successful 14-year career in the Auto Industry working his way from Salesman to General Manager for large dealerships in Colorado and Connecticut. In 2004 he jumped ship from the car business and became a Yacht Broker at a local new boat dealership. Within 4 years, he took over running the 40-year-old business as General Manager, breaking a few sales records along the way. In 2010 he and his wife Kimberly made a leap of faith by opening their own dealership and yacht brokerage, Springline Yacht Sales in Mystic, CT. In 2024 they merged with Massey Yacht Sales in Palmetto, FL and have now formed the largest new sailboat dealership on the East Coast of the United States.
With over 33 years of sales experience, Rick promotes an extremely healthy corporate philosophy of service, sincerity, and ethics in all dealings with team members, vendors, and customers. Outside of the industry, he has presented to High Point University business students and serves in the HPU business school mentorship program. Additionally, Rick has been a board member for the Mystic Schooner’s Baseball Team and the Fenner Hill Homeowner’s Association.
